Getting There

LOCATION

The festival will be held at Fremantle Park, which is bordered by Ellen, Ord and Parry Streets and is close to the City centre of Fremantle.

Fremantle Park is a 10 minute stroll from the Fremantle Train station.

Fremantle, or Freo as it's known by the locals, is a vibrant port city approximately 20 min drive from the centre of Perth, Western Australia.

Situated at the mouth of the Swan River, the multi-cultural city has a charm of its own, setting it apart from the rest of Perth.

Fremantle has world-famous heritage buildings and a fascinating maritime and convict history. And it boasts the best preserved example of a 19th century port streetscape in the world.

GETTING THERE

The best way to get to the festival is by train. The train service from Perth to Fremantle will be running approximately every 15 minutes up to 6.30pm, then every 30 minutes thereafter until 2.30am. Additional train services may be added for the festival - details to be provided closer to the event.

Further information regarding the special event transport services can be obtained by contacting the Transperth Info Line on 13 62 13 (TTY: 9428 1999) or by visiting the Transperth website at http://www.transperth.wa.gov.au closer to the event.

Whether you live on the other side of Perth, down south or right near Freo, car-pooling may be your answer. Car pooling makes parking easier, minimises the environmental impact, saves fuel, and gives you the chance to play festival tunes in the car so you can sing along and get into full festival spirit!

Please, please, please don't drink and drive! We want you to enjoy yourself and to get home safely. Take a bus, get dropped off or arrange a skipper, but please don't drive to the festival if you are planning to drink.

Also please remember that street drinking is illegal and the Police will be handing out fines to people who are doing the wrong thing. So while you're waiting to get in, why not turn to the person next to you and make a new friend, and save the drinking for once you're inside the licensed area.

PARKING

If you are driving to the festival, then we recommend you use one of the following car parks:

Beach Street car park – 296 spaces (normally closes at 8.00pm, but will be left open for festival patrons)
Point Street car park – 296 spaces
Parry Street car park – 172 spaces
Queensgate car park – 850 spaces
Fremantle Prison car park – 98 spaces

There is strictly no parking around Fremantle Park for festival patrons - please use one of the car parks recommended above.

We recommend you use the free Fremantle CAT buses which complete a circuit around the city of Fremantle. Park a little further away (where there are more parking spaces) and catch the free CAT bus to the festival.
