CROWDED HOUSE
Following their ten-years-in-the-making reunion in 2006, Crowded House have slowly but surely been working themselves back into the hearts of their home nation. A string of reunion shows paved the way for their fifth studio album Time on Earth to give the band their fourth number one record and drawing rave reviews from such diverse sources as Allmusic.com, the Observer, Pitchforkmedia.com and USA Today. Since then, the band has played high profile gigs at Masonic Grand Hall Lodge in New York, the Westonbirk Aboretum in Gloucestershire and the Glastonbury Festival. This year, as well as playing the South Australian and Victorian bushfire appeal concert Sound Relief, Crowded House began work on the sixth addition to their acclaimed discography in Los Angeles, telegraphing to the world that the beloved Australian act’s reunion was not a wham-bam-thankyou-ma’am stunt. Instead, with the album, due out in time for West Coast Blues and Roots, will show just what tricks old dogs can learn.
